People who steal photographs..

are fucking idiots!

Yes, I am aware that when you put your pictures online there's always a risk of having them stolen. But that doesn't mean it's okay to do it! It's especially not okay when a big-ass clothing chain here in Norway decided to slap one of my photographs on a tank top without asking for my permission. The picture they stole is the one called "Cat" here in my DA gallery. I found out about this a few days ago, and at first I was pretty shocked, now I'm pretty fucking pissed off! Not only have they stolen my photograph, they also cropped it so that my name is gone. And they make money from it! God damn! Since I'm not credited in any way, they're basically saying that the photograph is theirs.
What kind of idiot designer doesn't understand that he needs permission to use pictures that he has found online?! I mean, anyone should know that, ESPECIALLY designers. Holy hell, I am so angry. Plus, the tank top is pretty poorly designed..

I tried to call their main office today, but I was told that they wouldn't be back until next week. So I have to wait a week, and I just want to call them right now and tell them what they've done. They owe me lots of money, and I bet they won't just give it to me, so this will probably take ages to resolve. Luckily, I have evidence that I took the picture.

Unfortunately, it seems like all these art and photograph communities around the internet are becoming more and more unsafe. I've read about other people whose pictures have been stolen and used for something commercial. And Lara Jade who had one of her pics stolen and slapped on a porn dvd. That's pretty bad!
It makes me want to slap my signature all over my pictures from now on, in big-ass letters.

I'm just wondering why these people think it's okay to steal other people's pics? When you work on something, a piece of art or anything really, and some douchebag just steal it and make money off of it, it just sucks so bad. Can't wait until next week, can't wait to hear what they have to say, and if they don't take me seriously, I'll sue their asses. :evillaugh:

I just noticed that my last journal entry was from christmas, so.. here's a new one!
I don't have much to write though.
Hmmm, sooo what's new, what's new? Not much like always! Just lots of UNINTERESTING stuff like:

-I've started to watch Dexter (no, not dexter's lab), and it's exciting as hell! It makes me sick and excited at the same time. :giggle: Another show to add to my list of "must watch".

-I've started drinking Cola Zero and I swore I would always only drink the kind with sugar. Damn Sindre and his trip to Sweden! :P

-I've found out that looking for a new apartment is hell. I'd rather sit and watch Teletubbies all freakin' day than try to look for an apartment!!!

-I'm pissed that I don't have the money I need to go to concerts this summer. Let's see who I'll miss: Killswitch Engage, Paramore (I'm trying to get my sister to go with me to this one, cause I don't know anyone who REALLY likes them), Foo Fighters, Queens Of The Stone Age, Jimmy Eat World, In Flames, Bullet For My Valentine.. That's a pretty long list right there. Damn those expensive concerts!

-Wii Fit rocks!!! It actually makes you want to work out, and it's fun. :O Who knew yoga could be so exhausting.

Well, I'm gonna stop blabbing now, gots ta pee!

Christmas :D

So school has lasted for about a month, and I'm really excited about finally studying photography. I'm pleased with the teacher, the class and everything we've learned until now. I love the school! :) So it's pretty much all good :) hehe. It's going well living in Trondheim too. It was really weird to not live at home at first, but I'm more used to it now, but I miss my family though. :) I really like this town, there's always something happening, and I like just walking around downtown. Lots of cool places to take pictures too :)
